Richland has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Portage Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Richland will be strutting in after a win while Portage will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Richland didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bedford, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win.
Meanwhile, Portage pushed their score all the way to 60 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Conemaugh Township. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (59), Portage still had to take the loss.
Richland's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Portage, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Richland might still be hurting after the 66-43 defeat they got from Portage in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Richland, Andrew Miko (who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
