The Central Hawks pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 74-65 to Chattahoochee County. Central has not had much luck with Chattahoochee County recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Demarcus White and Joshua Seldon certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. White scored 28 points, while Seldon scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season.
Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Chattahoochee County, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central on the road again on Saturday and play against Randolph-Clay at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th. Randolph-Clay is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Chattahoochee County, they will head out on the road to square off against Webster County at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Webster County has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 27.
