Warren is 7-2 against Dominguez since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Warren Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dominguez Dons at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Warren had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat La Mirada 40-6 at home. The result was nothing new for Warren, who have now won three games by 34 points or more so far this season.
Madden Iamaleava was his usual excellent self, throwing for 321 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Iamaleava hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Lynnden Hodge was another key contributor, rushing for 116 yards.
The team's defense also helped out by holding La Mirada to a paltry 184 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Warren's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out three times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was JT Houston and his two sacks.
Dominguez can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Norwalk and snuck past 32-30.
Warren's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.8 points per game. As for Dominguez, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Everything came up roses for Warren against Dominguez in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 51-0 victory. Will Warren repeat their success, or does Dominguez have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
