Jefferson (Boulder, Mont.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 14-13 victory over
Red Lodge (Mont.) on Saturday. The Panthers took the lead for good when
Alex Brunett ran for a touchdown.
After nabbing the lead on a touchdown, the Rams went into halftime with a 7-6 lead. The Panthers took the lead for good with a touchdown run by Brunett in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, Jefferson still trailed by one point going into the fourth quarter. But eight points in the fourth helped JHS pull out the victory.
The Boulder school came into the game allowing 8.8 points per game.
The loss comes after Red Lodge defeated Roundup/Melstone 35-24 last week. With the win the Panthers extended their winning streak to three games. The loss snapped Red Lodge's two-game winning streak.
