Eau Claire North can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They came out on top against the Somerset Spartans by a score of 2-0. The Huskies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

While Eau Claire North won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22.

Madeline Cope paced Eau Claire North's offense, picking up six kills. Cope got some help from Kendall Vance and her seven assists. Vance also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Toni Woodruff, each putting up two.

Eau Claire North's record is now 14-17. As for Somerset, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 9-10.

Coming up, Eau Claire North will welcome Eau Claire Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Somerset, they will head out to challenge Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
