The loss snapped the Panthers 44 game win streak that spanned three seasons dating back to Dec. 30, 2019.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 14-2 advantage before stretching their lead to 22-4 after the first quarter. The Panthers showed some fight in the second quarter, as five-star junior
Aaron Bradshaw scored eight of his 10 first-half points in the period to cut the Montverde halftime lead to 32-18.
Camden wouldn't go away quietly in the second half, pulling off a handful of highlight-reel dunks to keep the local fans involved and playing hard to chip away at the deficit. The Eagles led 38-27 entering the final period.
A late run stretched the Montverde Academy lead to 50-31 with 3:22 remaining and ultimately put the game away.
Five-star Duke signee
Dariq Whitehead led the way for the Eagles with 18 points and also made a difference defensively frustrating top-ranked junior
D.J. Wagner for the majority of the night.
The impressive win improves Montverde Academy to 12-3 ahead of its trip to the Spalding Hoophall Classic where the Eagles face MaxPreps Top 25 No. 9 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) on Saturday and National Top 20 No. 2 IMG Academy on Monday.
Camden (6-1) also has a tough weekend ahead with MaxPreps Top 25 No. 6 Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) on Saturday and Milton (Ga.) on Monday at the Spalding Hoophall Classic.

Duke signee Dariq Whitehead of Montverde Academy skies for the layup.
