Gibsonburg never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Old Fort on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Stockaders with a sharp  19-5 win. The Golden Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Ava Amor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  firing off two  home runs, eight  RBI,  and five  runs while going 5-for-6. Those  RBI were  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Emily Henderson, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Ansley Fleming, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-5.
 Gibsonburg  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Gibsonburg has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Old Fort,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 Gibsonburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  9-2  win against St. Joseph Central Catholic on the 11th. As for Old Fort, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  10-0  loss against Mohawk on the 10th.
