The Freedom Eagles lost against the John Champe Knights back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Freedom was dealt a 50-7 defeat at the hands of John Champe. While losing is never fun, Freedom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 200th, while John Champe is ranked 46th).
Dominic Plush was on fire for John Champe: he threw for 517 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing score. Greg Spiller also helped out as he racked up 141 receiving yards.
Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for John Champe, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now. John Champe also has no future games currently scheduled.
