The Lawson Lightning lost against the Hume-Fogg Blue Knights back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lawson took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hume-Fogg. While losing is never fun, Lawson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Hume-Fogg is ranked 122nd).
Hume-Fogg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Miles Rucker, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rucker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Nwoye, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Lawson's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Hume-Fogg, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.
Lawson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hume-Fogg also has no future games currently scheduled.
