Basketball Recap: Lourdes Central Catholic Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

If Lewiston wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lourdes Central Catholic, they should've done a better job of containing Brady Schnitzer. The Lourdes Central Catholic Knights took down the Lewiston Tigers 61-47 on Monday thanks in part to Schnitzer, who posted 27 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Blue Oggs, who put up 14 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Brock Janssen and Payton Heideman certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Janssen went 5 for 12 en route to 15 points and six boards, while Heideman had 12 points and four steals. Heideman has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Weyers, who scored five points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Lourdes Central Catholic moved to 6-13 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lewiston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Lourdes Central Catholic has already played their next contest, a 67-33 defeat against Johnson-Brock on the 4th. Lewiston has also already played their next match (against Southern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
