The Triton Hawks''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 56-7 defeat at the hands of Seventy-First. Triton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seventy-First to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deandre Nance, who rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 123 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Shon Pone was another major influence, as he rushed for 61 yards and ran in a TD.
Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Seventy-First, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Triton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Seventy-First will be playing in front of their home fans against Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williams is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
