After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Portage, Poynette was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They skirted past the Marshall Cardinals  5-4. For Poynette, this counts as revenge for the   12-3 defeat Marshall walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2022.
  Chase Maier was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.  Chase Hansen was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Poynette's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
 Poynette will stay at home for another  game and welcome Belleville at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Marshall, they will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Cambridge at 5:00  p.m.
