The Onsted Wildcats were the 51-36 winner over the Hillsdale Hornets when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Onsted was the victim of a rough 63-43 loss at the hands of the Hornets on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Onsted still got an impressive performance from JayElle Christian, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Christian scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Borders, who scored three points along with eight steals and five assists.
Onsted has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Hillsdale, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Onsted will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillsdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bluestreaks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ida presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Hornets in Michigan (the Bluestreaks are ranked 137th, while the Hornets are ranked 501st).
