Cedartown extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 7A this week by beating Ridgeland, 36-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Bulldogs.
Pickens scaled the state rankings by moving to 172 from 202 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Dragons were able to move up by defeating Heritage 42-0.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Pickens' Tanner Brumby and Marcus Byrd have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Brumby has thrown for 118 yards this season, while Byrd has 2 catches for 39 yards. Cedartown's Nick Chubb leads the league in rushing yards with 593.
Chris Parker's team took down Heritage 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
