The Woodlan Warriors will square off against the Bluffton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Woodlan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on Thursday as Woodlan made off with a 73-49 win. The Warriors pushed the score to 58-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Braves had little chance of recovering from.
It was another big night for Brooke Kneubuhler, who went 7 of 13 en route to 20 points along with six assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Anderson, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and three blocks.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bluffton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Jay County 75-45. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Bluffton's win came from a few key players Woodlan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Konley Ault, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists. Those 11 assists gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabella Stout, who put up 23 points.
Bluffton's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.1 points. As for Woodlan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Woodlan has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Bluffton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Woodlan might still be hurting after the 66-43 defeat they got from Bluffton in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Woodlan have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
