The Bloomfield Bobcats entered their tilt with the Whitehorse Raiders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Bloomfield simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Whitehorse 43-3 on the road. Given Bloomfield's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in New Mexico, while Whitehorse is ranked 54th in Utah), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bloomfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Danielle Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Johnson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliya Quintana, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Whitehorse, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Bloomfield's road trip will continue as they head out to face Shiprock at 5:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Whitehorse won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Monument Valley at 2:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
