This season hasn't been kind to the St. Paul Central Minutemen, who are still winless after their fifth match. They had to suffer through a rough 53-21 loss at the hands of Tartan. St. Paul Central lost against Tartan in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 73-61 score last time.

Tartan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anya Murphy out in front who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Hernandez, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
St. Paul Central bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tartan, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul Central will be home for the holidays to greet St. Anthony Village at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Anthony Village presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. Paul Central in Minnesota (St. Anthony Village is ranked 118th, while St. Paul Central is ranked 383rd). As for Tartan, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Duluth East at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
