De La Salle added to the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Deer Valley, 57-27. The victory was the 12th in a row for the Spartans.
De La Salle took down the Wolverines 57-27 last week, the largest margin of any game. Antoine Custer ran for 172 yards in the win.
Justin Alumbaugh's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chris Williams threw for 59 and 1 touchdown and Sam Phillips had 51 yards receiving. On the ground Custer chipped in 172 yards.
Custer was a passing and rushing force as the Spartans bested Deer Valley.
Williams put up the best numbers in passing as De La Salle beat Rich Woods' team.
De La Salle's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Spartans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Williams has thrown for 1,117 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Marquis Morris has 20 catches for 416 yards.
Custer of the the Spartans is just 88 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 87 carries Custer has accumulated 912 yard this year.
De La Salle led the league in scoring this week after putting up 57 points on the Wolverines. Custer during the win.
