Charlotte lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. Their tough 60-38 loss to Brackett might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Charlotte in their matchups with Brackett: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Falls City narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Stockdale 31-29.
Falls City found their leader in underclassman Kain Jurgajtis, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Jurgajtis posted two or more blocks. Travis Black was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Charlotte has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-26 record this season. As for Falls City, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
Charlotte didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Falls City when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 47-42 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Jurgajtis, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Charlotte still be able to contain Jurgajtis? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
