The Norwich Free Academy Wildcats will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Glastonbury Guardians at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Norwich Free Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Even though East Hartford scored an imposing 67 points on Wednesday, Norwich Free Academy still came out on top. Norwich Free Academy secured a 72-67 W over East Hartford. That looming 72-67 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Norwich Free Academy yet this season.
Norwich Free Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Armanee Davis out in front who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Keegan Johnston was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, Glastonbury came up short against Southington last Thursday and fell 57-47.
Norwich Free Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Glastonbury, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Norwich Free Academy strolled past Glastonbury when the teams last played back in February by a score of 80-66. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norwich Free Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
