Hazen had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 8-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northern Cass. If Hazen were expecting payback for the 14-32 loss against Northern Cass the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Hazen off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Northern Cass a 1-0 record.
Next week, Hazen take on Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] at 6:00 PM. Neither Hazen nor Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one. As for Northern Cass, they will face of against Hillsboro/Central Valley.
