The Lee Central Stallions entered their tilt with the Battery Creek Dolphins with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Lee Central narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Battery Creek 52-49. For Lee Central, this counts as revenge for the 64-60 defeat Battery Creek walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2015.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lee Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than De'Marius Gregg, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gregg has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiauj Allen, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Lee Central's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Battery Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee Central will take on Johnsonville at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnsonville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Battery Creek and North Charleston will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (North Charleston is ranked 132nd, while Battery Creek is ranked 111th).
