When it comes to explaining why St. Edward's lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nate Sparkman. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Gary Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Jensen Beach was led to victory by Jason Curry jr. and Cordell Wilkins. Curry jr. dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Wilkins scored 20 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Charlie Alexander, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
St. Edward's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Jensen Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
