The Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns are taking a road trip to square off against the Christian Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Rancho Buena Vista will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Rancho Buena Vista's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Valhalla 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Danica Nielsen, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Valhalla off the board. Those ten strikeouts gave Nielsen a new career-high.
At the plate, Abigail Niwata and Allison Keusch did most of the damage at the plate: Niwata scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Keusch scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Isabella Pico also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Rancho Buena Vista was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valhalla only posted a batting average of .160.
Meanwhile, Christian waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 7-2.
Christian also got a great performance from Ava Barrios as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Barrios has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kaitlyn Moody was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Lucy Sherburne was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Christian pushed their record up to 11-3-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Rancho Buena Vista couldn't quite finish off Christian when the teams last played on March 8th and fell 8-6. Can Rancho Buena Vista avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
