Carrollton is 1-9 against Salem since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Carrollton Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Salem Quakers at 6:45 p.m. Hopefully Carrollton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Salem in Ohio (Carrollton is ranked 82nd, while Salem is ranked 261st).
Last Monday, Carrollton came up short against Indian Creek and fell 55-44. Carrollton has not had much luck with Indian Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Demi Leary, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Brae Roudebush, who scored eight points along with three steals and two blocks.
Salem posted their biggest victory since December 2, 2023 on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Minerva with a sharp 50-29 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-12.
Carrollton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3. As for Salem, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Carrollton skirted past Salem 68-65 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Carrollton repeat their success, or does Salem have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
