Westover Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Carlisle recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. Westover Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
While Westover Christian Academy's victory against Faith Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over Faith Christian Academy on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with Faith Christian Academy: they've now won five in a row.

Silas Zeidler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.
Zeidler wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jay Miller, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Miller hit this season. Another was Tanner Medford, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Carlisle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Blue Ridge by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Chiefs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Like Westover Christian Academy, Carlisle also got a great game from a two-way player: Casey Thomas. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Thomas has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Mason Wood was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Luke Carter was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Carlisle's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Westover Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
