The Yorktown Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Corpus Christi United.
Will Jonker was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with four blocks for Corpus Christi United. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Paulson, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Yorktown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Corpus Christi United, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yorktown will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Weimar at 2:15 p.m. on December 29th. Corpus Christi United is on the road again on January 4, 2024 and play against Falfurrias at 12:15 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
