The JAG Jaguars won the last time they faced the Lanier Poets, and things went their way on Friday too. JAG walked away with a 54-47 win over Lanier. Given JAG's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Lanier is ranked 145th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
JaMicah Adair was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Ethan Friendly was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for JAG and bumps their season record up to 21-4. As for Lanier, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.
JAG and Percy Julian will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Lanier, they will head out on the road to face off against Park Crossing at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
