While Avella's win against Jeannette wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Jayhawks on Sunday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Jayhawks: they've now won five in a row.

Avella's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Jeannette, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
