Softball Recap: Jefferson Has No Trouble Against Robinson

Jefferson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Robinson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Dragons were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Knights on Tuesday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Madisen Fleming made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Fleming was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Amaya Argilagos was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Amaris Dominguez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Robinson, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will welcome Chamberlain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Robinson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Middleton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
