Adding to the longest winning streak in Midland Empire this week, Maryville beat Oak Grove 42-20. The victory was the 13th in a row for the Spoofhounds.
Smithville made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,067 from 3,433.
5-foot-10 quarterback Drew Cortez of Lafayette is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,650. He has also thrown 29 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tyler Thrasher. The Bishop LeBlond star has 44 catches for 626 yards.
Maryville led the league in scoring this week by notching 42 points on the Panthers.
