Monomoy had to endure a seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They breezed by the Cape Cod Academy Seahawks to the tune of 71-44 on Tuesday. The Sharks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Harrison Lauf and Mike Berry certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Lauf posted 16 points and three steals, while Berry scored 12 points and eight boards. The game was Lauf's third in a row with at least ten points.

Monomoy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Cape Cod Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monomoy will challenge Mashpee at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cape Cod Academy, they will square off against Nauset Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Cod Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
