Everything went their way against the Calipatria Hornets as they made off with a 17-1 win. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.
Palo Verde Valley got a massive performance out of Alyssa Pierce, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Yasleen Reyes, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
The victory got Palo Verde Valley back to even at 8-8. As for Calipatria, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
