Shoreland Lutheran not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since April 10th (when they won  15-0). Shoreland Lutheran got a great performance from  Robert Triplett as he  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. The dominant performance also gave  Triplett a new career-high in  strikeouts (five).
 On the hitting side,  Michael Curran was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. Shoreland Lutheran is undefeated when  Curran posts two or  more  runs, but 3-4 otherwise.  Chase Creuziger was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
The  victory (which was Shoreland Lutheran's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dominican, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
 Shoreland Lutheran has already played their next matchup,  a  6-4  loss against Palmyra-Eagle on the 26th. As for Dominican, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against West Allis Central  at 6:30  p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for the Knights and four for the Bulldogs.
