Hortonville took a 95-86 hit to the loss column at the hands of Providence Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Thursday (71), Hortonville still had to take the loss.
Providence Academy found their leader in underclassman Maddyn Greenway, who dropped a triple-double on 43 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. The match was Greenway's third in a row with at least ten points. Hope Counts was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Hortonville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Providence Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Hortonville will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kimberly at 7:45 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (Kimberly is ranked 24th, while Hortonville is ranked 19th). As for Providence Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Mahtomedi at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
