The Weeping Water Indians waltzed into their matchup Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Raymond Central by a score of 52-39. For Weeping Water, this counts as revenge for the 65-44 defeat Raymond Central walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2020.
Sayler Rhodes was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 19 points along with seven steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Gus Mcgill was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reid Otto, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Dubas, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Weeping Water pushed their record up to 5-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Raymond Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.

Falls City has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
