The Drew Dragons's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eastside College Prep Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Drew focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
On Thursday, Drew was the victim of a tough 57-35 loss at the hands of Stuart Hall. While losing is never fun, Drew can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 513th, while Stuart Hall is ranked 161st).
Drew's defeat came about despite a quality game from Teo Kimball-Directo, who scored 16 points. Kimball-Directo scored a full 45.7% of Drew's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Eastside College Prep waltzed into their matchup Monday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mid-Peninsula 71-27 at home. Considering Eastside College Prep has won nine matches by more than 21 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Drew's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Eastside College Prep, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
