El Dorado's loss came despite strong showings from Logan Garner and Chase Lesh. Garner scored 26 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Lesh scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 43.3% of El Dorado's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Zac Jacobs was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
El Dorado's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Wellington, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-2.
El Dorado will be playing in front of their home fans against Clearwater at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. El Dorado is facing Clearwater at the right time seeing as Clearwater is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Wellington, they will head out on the road to challenge Rose Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
