While Tuesday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Quin'eysia Shaffer. On Tuesday she was dialed in and scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. She played a big game the last time she faced Rusk, so the team probably should've seen her coming.
Shaffer and Madisonville will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Madisonville got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Wildcats, probably because Shaffer had a solid game then too: she scored 25 points along with three steals.
