Belmont came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Southwestern Wildcats to the tune of 71-32. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Belmont's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Southwestern, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Belmont and Southwestern could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings.
