The third road game was the charm for the Kress Kangaroos, as they earned their first road win of the season. They really took it to Lazbuddie for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-31 win on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Kress, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kress got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Morphis out in front who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Landon Gilles, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds.
Kress' win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-11. As for Lazbuddie, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Kress will look to defend their home court on Friday against Nazareth at 7:30 p.m. Nazareth is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Lazbuddie, they will head out on the road to face off against Hart at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
