Raquel Pineda was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
At the plate, Leyla Ayres was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but La Habra ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past El Modena 8-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Highlanders.
Samantha Cervantes looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Hernandez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Caffrey, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pacifica hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .334. However, it's not like La Habra struggles in that department as they've averaged .358. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
