The Westminster Academy Crusaders will head out on the road to challenge the Opelousas Catholic Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Westminster Academy sitting on three straight victories and the Vikings on four.
Last Friday, Westminster Academy escaped with a win against the Hurricanes by the margin of a single free throw, 47-46.
Meanwhile, Opelousas Catholic made easy work of the Gators on Friday and carried off a 75-51 win.
Westminster Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Opelousas Catholic, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-13.
Westminster Academy skirted past the Vikings 52-49 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westminster Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
