Barrett Fallon's Big Game Leads Davenport over Fredericksburg
Starting off the list is Davenport's Barrett Fallon, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Fallon rushed for 250 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.
Unfortunately for Fredericksburg, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Fallon. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Fallon saw the Billies), he rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also caught a touchdown.

Erik Coronado Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Erik Coronado produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Pleasanton to the win on Friday. Coronado rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (104.3). He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.
Pleasanton moved to 3-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Coronado and Pleasanton will venture away from home to take on Fredericksburg on Friday.

James Garza's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
James Garza posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (114.8) per game.
Canyon Lake's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Garza will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Uvalde on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Cade Segura Leads Pleasanton over John F. Kennedy
Cade Segura produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Pleasanton to the win on Friday. Segura threw for 116 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
This season, Segura has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 181.5 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had four passing touchdowns.

Fredericksburg came up short on Friday despite Brooks Immel delivering his best game to date. Immel rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 96 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
