Keland White of Landmark Christian ran for the longest rushing play in Sunshine State - South this season against Foundation Academy last week. White ran for 92 yards on the play and finished with 295 on the day as his team defeated the Lions
Landmark Christian moved up to 248 from 316 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Mark Burdon's team was able to make the jump by topping Foundation Academy 54-24.
Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's R.J. Perciavalle and Austin Meyers have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Perciavalle has thrown for 873 yards this season, while Meyers, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 16 catches for 242 yards. The Patriots' White leads the league in rushing yards with 936.
Landmark Christian's White needs only 64 yards against Victory Christian Academy next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in Sunshine State - South this week will be when Seffner Christian takes on Merritt Island Christian. The Crusaders are currently in third, while the Cougars are in fourth.
The Patriots extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Brad Lord's team, 54-24. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
