The Harvest Community Warriors stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They blew past First Coast Christian 52-31. With Harvest Community ahead 33-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Harvest Community found their leader in underclassman Rebekah Harmer, who scored 14 points along with nine steals and six rebounds. Elise Harmer was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Harvest Community has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for First Coast Christian, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvest Community won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Covenant School of Jacksonville at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Covenant School of Jacksonville is ranked 429th, while Harvest Community is ranked 435th). As for First Coast Christian, they will be playing at home against Old Plank Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Old Plank Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
