The Wayne Badgers will take on the Delta Rabbits at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Wayne's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Water Canyon with a sharp 23-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Badgers, who have now won four games in a row.
Alania Grundy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Ava Snedeger was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those six stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lyndee Jones, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Wayne was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Delta hadn't done well against Millard recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Rabbits were the clear victors by a 24-12 margin over the Eagles.
Delta got a massive performance out of Elcie Shurtz, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. That home run was Shurtz's first of the season. Joslyn Christiansen was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Delta's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
Wayne's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Badgers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Delta, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Wayne continue to outrun the ball?
