Steinbrenner hasn't had much luck against Lennard recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Warriors will head out to square off against the Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Steinbrenner 12.1, Lennard 6.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
Steinbrenner is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 33-7 margin over Haines City. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Steinbrenner found their leader in sophomore KK Ramsey, who threw for 261 yards and four TDs while completing 80% of her passes, and also rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown. Those four passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Ramsey. A healthy portion of Ramsey's aerial production (90 yards to be exact) went to Berkley Demeter, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
One reason for the win was Steinbrenner's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kathryn Williams and Ramsey, who racked up all six sacks between them. Ramsey's passing game has become a key predictor of Steinbrenner's success: the team is undefeated when her passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 4-5 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Lennard came tearing into Wednesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Warriors 33-19. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Warriors are ranked 49th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Steinbrenner better keep an eye on Sydney Elizondo. She was instrumental in Lennard's win, throwing for 257 yards and four TDs while completing 72.7% of her passes, and also rushing for 59 yards and one score on only five carries. Elizondo has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times she's played.
Lennard pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.2 points over those games. As for Steinbrenner, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Monday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Ramsey and Elizondo. Ramsey just won't slow down this season and has thrown 38 touchdowns while averaging 198.1 passing yards per game. Elizondo has been a dominant force too and has thrown 71 touchdowns (and and only 12 pick) while averaging 230.1 passing yards per game.
Steinbrenner and Lennard were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, but Steinbrenner came up empty-handed after a 39-38 defeat. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
