The Concord Spiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by East Rowan at home to the tune of 99-54. The victory was just what Concord needed coming off of a 83-50 defeat in their prior contest.
Concord got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeremiah Howard out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Judah Freeman, who scored 22 points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, East Rowan still got an impressive performance from Drake Jones, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Wembolua, who scored nine points.
Concord pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.6 points per game. As for East Rowan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Concord will look to defend their home court on Friday against Carson at 7:30 p.m. As for East Rowan, they will head out on the road to take on Central Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
