It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Grafton Gators had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 17-6 victory over Marblehead. Winning may never get old, but Grafton sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Finn Gilmore was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 192 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Gilmore's longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards.
Grafton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Marblehead, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5.
Grafton will play host again and welcome Scituate, where kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Scituate will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Marblehead will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Swampscott at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd.
